Your smart card is your key to a connected school. Here's what it does — and why it matters.

Place your card on the booth's reader, then enter your PIN. Three wrong attempts will lock your account.

Choose from calls, balance check, transactions, savings, or report a lost card.

Your dedicated MTN number stays with you for your entire school journey — share it with your parents.
Your four wallets
Different kinds of money stay separate so you can see exactly what you've got — and where it should be spent.

Using the HelloBooth
Same three steps every time. Tap, PIN, choose.
- 01Tap your card
Place it on the reader at the booth.
- 02Enter your PIN
Be careful — three wrong tries locks your account.
- 03Pick an action
Call, check balance, view history, or savings.
Making calls home
Pick "Make a call" from the menu, choose an approved contact, speak briefly, and end the call properly.
Full call access, up to your daily limit. Calls are charged to your airtime wallet.
No calls — but balance checks, canteen payments and savings still work.

Tap your card at the terminal, check the amount on screen, enter your PIN, and you're paid up. Money comes from your pocket money wallet.
Saving for goals
The savings wallet keeps money safe from impulse spending. Set a goal, name it, and move money over from pocket money.
- 01Name a goal
e.g. "School trip — UGX 50,000." Set a target you can actually hit.
- 02Move money in
Transfer from pocket money. Once it's in savings, canteen can't spend it.
- 03Watch it grow
Add a little each week — small, regular transfers beat one big push.
PIN & security
Lost or damaged card
Act immediately. At the booth: select option 5 → enter card serial number. Or report to the liaison officer.
While waiting for a replacement
- Serial-number login still worksUse the card serial number with your PIN at the booth until the replacement arrives.
- Daily withdrawal limits still applySpending and withdrawal caps stay the same during the replacement window.
- UGX 8,000 replacement feeDeducted from your Pocket Money wallet when the new card is issued.
- Parents are notified by SMSYour parents receive a confirmation when the card is replaced — they don't need to do anything.
